PEGS Boston Summit will be a Virtual Event for 2020
Like many of you, we have been closely following updates and evolving guidances from local, national and global agencies for COVID-19. There is still much uncertainty around the coronavirus, and how long our communities may be impacted by the pandemic,
but it seems certain that decisions about how we work, travel and gather together will continue to be influenced for weeks and months still to come.
We have made the decision to host PEGS Boston Summit as a virtual meeting instead of an in-person event for this year. We are hard at work transitioning to add an additional weeklong virtual meeting featuring live and on-demand sessions,
networking, exhibits and posters, running on the original August and September dates. This will be held in addition to the PEGS Virtual Summit scheduled June 2-26.
While we had hoped to see all of you in Boston, we feel this is the best solution to be able to offer this event. We are excited about a virtual event, and will update our website and FAQ with more information soon.
Q: Is the virtual meeting in Aug./Sept. replacing the in-person meeting?
A: Yes, the virtual meeting replaces the in-person meeting of the PEGS Boston Summit in 2020. We hope to see you in 2021, when it is safe for us to come together
Q: When will the PEGS Boston Summit virtual sessions take place?
A: Sessions will run in “real time” from approximately 9:00 am – 5:00 pm ET Monday - Friday, August 31-September 4, 2020.
Q: Will sessions be available after the virtual meeting?
A: Yes, select sessions will be available to view on demand after the virtual meeting has ended. We do our best to share as many presentations as we are able to, but due to
unpublished/proprietary content and company policy, some speaker presentations may only be available as live presentations.
Q: I am currently registered for the PEGS Boston Summit and plan to attend the virtual meeting in Aug./Sept. What do I need to do?
A: No action is required. Your registration has been automatically transferred to the in-person PEGS
Boston Summit 2021 event and you’ve also been registered for this year’s PEGS Boston Summit Virtual for no additional fee.
Q: I am currently registered for the PEGS Boston Summit and do NOT plan to attend the virtual meeting and do NOT want
my registration fee transferred to the 2021 event. What do I need to do?
A: You may receive a voucher towards a future event, valid two years and transferable to a colleague or transfer your registration to another event by sending an email to email@example.com.
We try to process all requests within 30 days, but because of an increase in the number of inquiries, processing may take longer than normal.
Q: I had cancelled my registration for the in-person meeting, but I am now able to attend the PEGS Boston Summit
virtual meeting in Aug./Sept. Can I reinstate my registration?
A: Yes. You can send a request to firstname.lastname@example.org to have your registration reinstated at the original rate. Reinstatement requests can be made any time prior to the start of the event.
Q: I had cancelled my registration for the meeting and am unable to determine whether I can attend the virtual meeting at this time. Can I register at a later date?
A: Yes. You can register on our website at any time or contact our Registration team at
email@example.com, (+1) 781-972-5400 or Toll free in the US (+1) 888 999 6288.
HOTEL & TRAVEL
Q: I have a hotel reservation for the in-person conference, which will now be held as a virtual conference. Do I need to cancel my hotel room?
A: Any hotel reservation booked, using the conference provided hotel reservation link or phone number (on the conference website travel page), will be cancelled automatically without penalty. The Sheraton Boston Hotel will process this refund as efficiently as possible, however with the number of requests it may take a few days. If you have not received a cancellation email from the hotel after 7 days please email the hotel directly at Tara.McMahon@Marriott.com.
Registrants who booked accommodations through other sources or directly with hotel not under the group block must cancel their own reservations.
Q: I have a reservation for air travel to the conference. Do I need to cancel my flight now that this event will be held as a virtual conference?
A: You should contact your booking agent or carrier directly and follow their guidelines
regarding the changing or cancellation of flights. Many airlines are waiving change fees.
Q: I am an invited speaker and I have a reservation for air travel. Do I need to cancel my flight now that this event will be held as a virtual conference?
A: You should contact your booking agent or carrier directly and follow their
guidelines regarding the changing or cancellation of flights. Many airlines are waiving change fees.

Q: I was scheduled to present at the in-person PEGS Boston Summit, but I had to cancel my presentation. If I am able to attend the virtual meeting, can I be included in the program?
A: Yes. Our conference team is actively reaching
out to cancelled speakers to alert them to the change, and assess their availability to join the virtual program.
Q: I was not able to present at the in-person PEGS Boston Summit, but would be interested in participating in the virtual meeting. What do I need to do?
A: We are hoping to maintain as much of the original programming as possible.
If we do need additional proposals, we will reopen a call for papers on our event website, and welcome you to submit for consideration at that time.
